 "1864" by The Quilted Crow

The Quilted Crow of Australia the quilt is wool applique` and when finished measures 60" square.  It is done on cotton and will run for six months.
The gals from Australia for those of you who attended the trunk show and/or gathering saw this quilt.  It measures 60X60 and features 100% wool appliqued onto a cotton background.

"Prairie Women's Sewing Circle" class

Six projects and one bounus project.  Sign up soon, space is limited.

We will meet once a month and the theme will be "make-do" meaning that we will use what we have to make our quilts!!  These are mostly smaller quilts ranging in size from 17" square to the largest 57x68!!  Plus some fun little "bonus" projects.  We will have an afternoon,  evening and possibly a Saturday Gathering for this monthly project which will  run for six months.

Tuesday January 26^th~ Antique Buttermold” quilt

Meet for 9 months

This is the beginning of the new "Antique Buttermold" quilt.  This is the one with wool appliqué on cotton fabrics.  I have blocks one and two done and working on three.  There are nine blocks, so we will meet for 9 months.  Class times will be either 1-3 or 6-8.  Kits are available for the wool and cotton. 

 
Monday February 8^th~ Aunt Maggie's Patchwork Quilt

Meet for 9 months

This is a designed by Lori Smith and I've used all Civil War fabrics.  There are 18 blocks and we will be doing 2 blocks a month and meet for nine months.  You can purchase kits or bring your own scraps.  Class fee is $10/month if you bring your scraps or free if you purchase your kits.  Class date is Feb 8th 1-3 or 6-8.

Thursday February 18th ~ Amalie's Story

Meeting 10 months (each quilt takes 2 months)

We'll be using the books by Darlene Zimmerman, there are five booklets and we'll be starting with the Hourglass Quilt, using lots of scraps!!  Book required and class fee is $10/month.  We'll meet ten times giving us two months to work on each quilt. 

 Monday Feb. 22^nd or Saturday Feb. 27^th ~ Jo’s Little Woman Club

Meet monthly 4^th Monday and Saturday after the 4^th Monday

We will also be starting a new Jo's Little Women Club in February.  We will meet on the 4th Monday of each month 1-3 or 6-8 and the Saturday following the 4th Monday (I know that sounds confusing but sometimes it varies).  This is a great club and many of you saw the quilts in the SF guild quilt show this fall. 

Saturday February 20^th ~The Farmer's Wife Sampler Quilt

Meet monthly

 I saw this book and fell in love with it.  In 1922, The Farmer's Wife magazine posed this question to their readers: "If you had a daughter of marriageable age, would you, in light of your own experience, have her marry a farmer?"  The best answers to this question are included in this book, along with traditional quilt blocks they inspired.  Each month you will receive 8 fat 1/8's to use in your blocks.  Cost is $15/month meetings will be on Feb 20 10-12,   I love this new book!! 

 
1^st Tuesday of the month ~ Monthly Embroidery Club

We meet the first Tuesday of each month and work on hand embroidery projects.  We'd love to have you join us.
